Kannagi is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language fantasy drama film written and directed by R. V. Udayakumar. The film features an ensemble cast of Sarath Kumar, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. The film tells the story of a woman named Kannagi, who is angered when her husband is falsely accused of theft and is killed. She takes it upon herself to clear her husband’s name and bring the true culprit to justice. The film was produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, and was a critical and commercial success upon its release.
