Madhoo was an Indian film actress she primarily works in her native India. She is a part of the Tamil as well as Hindi film industry. She also acted in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films. Her debut as an actor came in the Tamil film “Azhagan,” directed by K. Balachander in the year 1991. In 2001 Balachander made her television debut in”Kaveri,” a Tamil show “Kaveri,” which was broadcast by Sun TV. The role she played as a character in Naveen Chandra’s Repeat film was awe-inspiringly praised by both critics and audiences. She was also a character in the Shaakuntalam film starring Samantha as the main part.
Madhoo began her professional acting journey in the year 1991 in the Kollywood film ” Azhagan,” alongside Mammootty as well as Bhanu Priya. The same year she also made her Bollywood debut in the film ” Phool Aur Kaante,” directed by Veeru Devgan. It was also the first film for Ajay Devgan. Her first Malayalam film came out as ” Ottayal Pattalam,” alongside Mukesh in 1991. Madhoo was also a member of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil blockbuster film “Roja,” with Aravind Swami in the year 1992. The film has been awarded the National Film Award for the Best Film about National Integration and it was also nominated as the Best Film during the 18th Moscow International Film Festival. Then, she appeared in Raghavendra Rao’s Telugu popular film ” Allari Priyudu,” and the movie was shown in the International Film Festival of India. She also appeared on the screen in director S. Shankar’s film “Gentleman,” with Arjun Sarja. In 2008, she decided to return in the Hindi film “Kabhi Socha Bhi Na Tha” and has performed a number of support roles since then.
